Mountain Lion asking for Password To Delete file

I just updated Mac to Mac OS Mountain Lion. Everytime I want to delete any trash from the desktop or overwrite files, suddenly it asks for my password. When I try to move stuff from the root-level /Applications folder to the trash using Finder and empty the trash, I still get the authentication request to enter my password. I don't set to have to authenticate anything except installing apps in the preferences. I also set everything to remember my password in my Keychain Access settings. I really need a fix. Is there a workaround?

* Open Terminal on your Mac, and enter the terminal command:
sudo chown -R root:admin /Applications
* Click the return key and type in your admin password in the  Password prompt. Then restart your computer.
